Assets are being modelled and ambient occluded to add shadow detail to the texture. The actual colour texture will be made at a later date and underpainted under the ambient occlusion in photoshop, whilst the ambient occlusion layer is set to 'multiply'.
Dissertation is complete and handed in. I went back through our 1 room that we were trying to get to a more complete standard and tweaked the textures, lighting and piano model. I rendered Eric's piano in maya withambient occlusion to generate some more shadow information:
